A specialist search practice for marketing, product and design.
TheCollective.Ventures was built around a simple belief: a senior hire in marketing or product or design changes the trajectory of a company, so it deserves someone who genuinely understands the discipline, knows the people, and whose word means something on both sides of the table.
Not a recruitment agency. Not a resume shop. A headhunter with a specialty.
We recruit in five disciplines and only five: Marketing, Marketing Technology, Product Marketing, Product Management and Design. Those functions sit next to each other, argue with each other and depend on each other. Knowing all five is how you tell a genuine leader from a good interviewer.
That network has been built over a long career placing marketing, product and design leaders across technology, enterprise software, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, data and digital experience. Not a database. Relationships — the kind where both sides pick up the phone, including the people who aren't looking.
Every search is run personally. The market mapping, the approaches, the reference work, the offer conversations. It's the one part of this business that never gets handed off. If my name is on the search, I'm the one making the calls.
We invest in candidates long before there's a role for them, and stay close to them long after a placement. We give honest counsel when there's nothing in it for us. Because the best hires still travel through people — and we happen to know a lot of the right ones.
One thing to be clear about: our domain is .ventures, but we are not a venture capital firm. We don't invest money, take equity, or manage a fund. We find the people who build the companies.
